From a distance, it looks like healthcare has always been
patient-centered. Ultimately, the focus is on curing the patient. As knows, but
the opinion is different. Determine how to partner with your patients and you

A growing body of studies suggests that the lack of
communication between care providers and patients contributes to errors or
improper or ineffective maintenance. To address these problems the Institute of
Medicine patient-centered care for the health care system as one of its six
aims. Pediatric hospitals are ahead of the curve on some facets of care, for
instance has provided accommodations to sleep beside their kids. But there
is a difference between providing parents 24-hour access to their kids that are
hospitalized, and really embracing them as precious and partners in their care.
